Plus size dressing tips…

This one is for those of you ladies, who like myself, carry your weight in your midsection and walk that precarious line between women’s and plus sizes. It’s not all about the skinny chicks, you know! Below are a few outfits I threw together that would work well to camouflage a larger belly.

First we have a pretty little babydoll paired with some dark denim. The top is young and funky and the bottoms mean business. These are the jeans you want, ladies! They fall straight down the leg and have a flat front. Plus sizes should NEVER wear pleats! Extend the line of the jeans with a simple pointy toed flat, and you’re good to go!

Next is pretty green frock with an empire seam under the bust. This helps you hide the belly by cinching at the narrowest part of the body and then gently falling away from the parts you want to cover. Put it with some sparkly silver accessories, and you’re ready for a night on the town!

Last we have a beautiful dress whose knot draws your attention upwards and away from your midsection. Class it up with some high boots and a kick ass bag and you’re as sophisticated as can be!

So there you have it, my tips for hiding my (or your) gut. Trust me, they work. The trick in dressing well is learning what works for your body. If you can do that, you’ll always look slimmer and more svelte!

I love these outfits they are great cause it gives the plus size girls out there something stylish to work with. I think my favorite might be the black and white shirt and the grey jersey dress because these are pieces that can go from day to night with a couple of changes of the accesories……for instance if you pair the grey dress with some amazing pearl jewelry (try premiumpearl.com for great pieces), you can wear this at the office and then go straight to a date or dinner with your girlfriends. The white and black shirt looks great with jeans but you can pair it with a beautiful black pencil skirt or black pants (try anntaylor.com) and then it turns into an office appropriate ensemble!!!
Good job on finding these great pieces….keep up the good work!!!
    Have a wonderful weekend….
